NVIDIA’s New RTX 3080 Ti Models Will Launch June 3rd

NVIDIA has announced its long-awaited RTX 3080 Ti model. The 3080 Ti packs in an extra 2GB’s of GDDR6X VRAM compared to the 3080 and runs on a 384-bit bus instead of the previous 320-bit on the 3080. It also includes 10240 Cuda cores, 80 RT cores, and 320 Tensor cores. This graphics card comes in at an MSRP price of $1,199, coming close to the 3090’s MSRP of $1,499.

Here’s a recap of the RTX 3080 Ti specs compared to the rest of the RTX 3000 Series Lineup.

NVIDIA will also be including their new Light Hash Rate Limiter (LHR) on the new 3080 Ti. LHR halves the hashrate of the graphics card, to make it less desirable for miners and allow cards to get in the hands of gamers.

The RTX 3080 Ti will be releasing tomorrow, June 3rd. BestBuy plans to have an in-store purchase system. Gamers looking to purchase graphics cards can expect to line up outside of the store before vouchers are given out at 7:30 AM local time. If you receive a voucher, your sport is reserved to purchase at 9 AM local time.

Only specific stores are allowing for this system. A list of the participating stores can be found here. Vouchers are limited to one per person, which is in place to stop scalpers and miners from purchasing these GPUs in large quantities.

Other stores such as Newegg, Amazon, and more will most likely drop anytime tomorrow, June 3rd. Make sure to check out our review on the 3080 Ti when it is released. If you are trying to purchase a 3080 Ti, we wish you good luck!
